@NightmareTales is one of the most brave and flexible yogi I follow on Instagram. His post will make your stomach drop and confidence rise. Pushing the limits to test your ability is the only way to know your max! … If there even is one. He inspired me to climb and test my balance. Balance I barely can keep on flat surface! … Stay In Focus

Speed Reading 101

Whether you’re hitting the textbooks in philosophy class, reading long-winded emails from co-workers, or just reading the morning newspaper, chances are at one time or another you’ve wished you could read a little faster. Here are a few tips to help quicken your read!

Time your current reading speed. Not only will timing help you to tell if you’re improving, but it will also keep you motivated.

Get rid of distractions. Even if you think you read better when you have music playing or when you’re in a crowded coffee house, you can probably increase your speed if you reduce distractions to a bare minimum.

Adjust reading speed depending on the material. Often, we must trade off comprehension for speed, so an important part of increasing reading speed is deciding how thoroughly you need to comprehend a particular piece of writing. So before you even start reading, decide how fast you intend to go.

Learn to separate the wheat from the chaff with pre-reading. No matter what you are reading, there is frequently a lot of “filler” that you can read quickly through or even skim over. With practice, you will be able to identify the most important parts of a book as you skim through it. When you get to such a passage, slow down.

Train yourself not to reread. Most people frequently stop and skip back to words or sentences they just read to try to make sure they understood the meaning. This is usually unnecessary, but it can easily become a habit, and many times you will not even notice you’re doing it.

Good Afternoon, Today feels refreshing.. Went to sleep reading The fifth mountain last night. There was a few things I learned but the one thing I remember was what he wrote of children. ” A child can teach an adult three things, to be happy for no reason, to always be busy with something and to know how to demand with all his might that which he desires.” I have the first two down pact the third ability requires me to really want whatever it is I’m lusting for then it happens! @andrew7sealy I don’t have blocks…but I do happen to have this awesome can of “Protein Powerhouse Raw #Sprouting Blend” that serves it’s purpose in many ways. #RawEnergy keeps#MarchMovements flowing even at 12:28 am “These are some of the things that hydrogen atoms do given 15 billion years of evolution” and it continues. Planetary Chakra Meditation

yis

Solar breath meditation. This is a technique that I like to use when I want to align my 7 energy points(chakras). Each point corresponds with a planet.

Crown – Sun

Third Eye – Moon

Throat – Mercury

Heart – Venus

Solar Plexus – Mars

Sacral – Jupiter

Root  – Saturn

Ok so first It helps to know the energetic properties of each planet which can be found here. I begin with Crown chakra and move down from the top  then back up.  On the exhale I will begin by saying to myself Sun (crown) and then focus my awareness to the corresponding section on my physical body.  I will make it through each energy point on one out breath. On the inhale I will say to myself Saturn (root) and again focus my awareness to the part of my physical body then work my way up to repeat the cycle. You may begin to feel a strong vibration in each energy point you direct focus to. Once you have completed as many cycles you feel comfortable doing, breathe at a natural rhythm and bring your focus to become aware of each energy point. Once you focus on all of the energy points you may feel a sense of being in a energetic sphere. You have reached what I like to call cosmic mode. It feels like your in space bubble. I have seen some interesting visions while practicing this method of alignment. This works for me and is very effective bringing me to the cosmic bubble fairly quickly once I sit and focus. I hope this has given you some ideas, play and learn with your energy!
