MAAT Day 8 of #abofakemeticlife2014 @BlueTreasurePhotography #kemeticyoga challenge Ma’at is the Kemetic (Ancient Egyptian) concept of #truth, #balance, #order, #law, #morality, and #justice. Yoga principles goes hand in hand with Ma’at because they both #focus on Balance, Self Discipline, and being Righteous. Ma’at is also the #goddess of Justice and Truth as her teachings helps the consciencness of each individuals. The word Yoga, comes from the Sanskrit word yuj which means to yoke, to concentrate or bind and is often interpreted as “Union” or a method of #discipline. This practice unites the #body, #mind, and #spirit. It joins individuality with the Divine Intelligence that orchestrates the #universe. So, if you are a seekers of greater #wellbeing, #vitality, and #wisdom, #yoga offers a map that ultimately leads you back to Spirit. The balance created in Yoga helps your body to develop #strength, #flexibility, emotional and spiritual balance. This is done through the performance of poses or asanas, each of which has specific physical and emotinal benefits. Meditation is also an integral part of yoga which takes you into a stillness or #meditation into your every breath and movement. Yoga, when aligned with breath awareness and #inspirational #affirmation, you will be able to move past your physical body, beyond the subtle body (Mind, Intellect, Ego) and ultimately to that universal state of oneness with yourself. Ma’at and Yoga helps us to #transform our lives and others to become healthier, happier and more balanced in all areas of life.

“Yoga on the beach. Pregnancy yoga is awesome for expectant mothers as it encourages breathing, stretching and connecting with baby. Mind you I wouldn’t recommend the bottom right pose for beginner yoga moms, I’ll be posting more pics for you. Top right pose is great for connecting with your breath, heartbeat and baby. I’m hoping these and many other hip opening poses will help in a smooth delivery…I’ll keep you updated” –
