yoga_davina My #yogaafteryoga practice was lots of hip openers and backbends!! Yesterday at our weekly leadership meeting at work we were asked to share something that lights us up… I said Rocket Yoga ❤️ I love the feeling right before training because I know I am going to learn a lot! I shared with a student and friend @mommylovesyoga2 that I go to training with my students in mind❤️ I physically cannot do everything in the Rocket sequences yet … and that’s cool because I have @yogi_jarrod@yogahippiekiva @mommylovesyoga2 and my private clients to experiment on!! 😜

An In depth Look at Pranayama

On my search to finding new perspectives and insight on meditation and yoga I came across a great teacher with some lessons/lectures online to be viewed. The name of the teacher is Nehemiah Davis and is ellaborates on mystic knowledge pertaining prana energy ether, auric body, astral projection and many more topics,

One method that I have tried from watching the lectures on the Mystic Knowledge channel is the simple method of curing a head ache. The term they used that put things in perspective for me was Metaphysical medical procedures… makes sense. Just like doing a procedure only with the mind .. You draw the pain down into your heart point then push it out throw your arms and finally out through your hands. I experienced pulsating at the finger tips and quick heating up of my fingers.  I did not have a head ache at the moment im dealing with a wisdom tooth .. yeah so I definitely have pain to work with and practice.. I drew the energy down into the heart energy point then pushed out through my hands. On the inhale I would pull from Tooth/Ear Pain down to heart .. Exhale .. Push from Heart to Fingers.. This worked and I can describe it as having a bottle of water and  the water in the bottle is the pain… breathing the pain out would be like poking a whole in the bottle and draining it slowly until there is no pain.   After the pain was gone i relaxed my breathing and did not perform the deep breaths with the intent of pulling down the pain .. i relaxed my breathing and i noticed a sensation as if my ear had been sealed off from the pain. Almost like there was a hole that needed to be patched and once it was patched it felt normal again.

This will be a pre sleep session that beginners and advanced Yogis can follow along with.  We will be relaxing our minds and body before we doze off and go to sleep!  This session is for the night owls that enjoy the moon glow over the sun shine!

Muyuu New You Mondays 10.13 10:00am – 11:00am

An early morning  60 – 90 minute yoga session dedicated to getting your week starting in the right mood… hopefully! We will end the session with a meditation aimed at putting our weekly goals into perspective and seeing them accomplished with ease.

Energy work Wednesdays  10.15 @ 3:33 pm – 5:03 EST

Energize your wednesday with a  60 – 90 minute yoga session will focus on increasing energy and moving at a fluid pace. Aligning breath with movement and ending meditation by going through each of the your chakras and circulating the energy throughout your body. 1 Crystal will be discussed briefly as well

Be Metaphysical: Clarity and Concentration

What is mental clarity worth? If you are surrounded by noise and constant distractions, thinking will be more difficult. fog-4As stated in the previous “Be metaphysical” post thought and sound are vibration. If you are a person that prefers to plan out your next move and make thoughtful decisions you may value mental clarity. Distractions can come in all shapes and forms, video games, television, even people can become a distraction to gaining mental clarity. So with that being said I think it’s beneficial to remove yourself from those environmental conditions.  Quietness and concentrating on clearing your thoughts will lead to mental clarity. Furthermore replace the noisy environment with nature. Let the birds’ songs be the noise and the flow of water be the soundtrack to your mental clarity. This combination has a calming effect on the mind and body.  The more you practice withdrawing from your senses like sight and sound the easier it will be to tune out the distractions when you can’t escape to a misty river like me.

@trycja_yoga  Now the Prairie Rock Grill, the building behind me has been a fixture in downtown Elgin since 1921. It has been a movie theater, a soul food restaurant, a dance hall, a microbrewery and a venue for mixed martial arts. Thankfully this intersection was not that busy in the early morning so I could do a quick forearm balance in the street. This is right in the heart of #elginil, like all my pictures for #pasadena5love And this post wraps up this fun challenge, but there is one more big part of the downtown area I would be remiss not to share, so stay tuned for a bonus #elginlove post tomorrow

The account I have chosen to feature @ameliakyoga. I have spent several nights in tears reading her words and have been inspired myself to be the best mother I can to my two little boys. Inspiration to be a better mother is worth more than I can put a value on. I encourage you to follow her and go through and read her posts. Her story is heart wrenching but her spirit and the light she gives is inspirational. I have been a follower myself of Amelia for a long time. I don’t really remember how I came to follow her but I was enchanted by her images and beautiful asana.

@Briyr It’s been one of those weeks where I question everything. Doubt. Stress. Judgement. Love & Hate all at the same time. And as I sat waiting for the students to arrive into class I just started crying. Had no idea why, just was. I closed my journal because I didn’t want water to destroy the pages, but before I closed it I wrote: my practice requires tears. My practice requires me to practice on the mat and off. My practice requires truth. My practice doesn’t have to be seen or displayed because it’s mine. My practice is about me.
