Between catching flights and chasing some bus to nowhere… Yogi Selects has found its was back in rotation. Tracking down Yogis and aggressively reminding them to answer 10 questions isn’t what I like to do with my spare time so with that being said I’ve created the next list of yogis. The ones that respond I will create a questionnaire for and hopefully it makes it way to completion. Stay Tuned for the Summer lineup of yogis. Hopefully they have some wisdom to share along with the cool flexible moves.
My name is Kokobie. I’m from Ethiopia, but currently I live in Canada,Toronto.
I have always been interested in yoga, but I never made it to a yoga class until recently when I had the opportunity to attend Kinoyoga’s class. I started practicing yoga and working out at home 6 weeks after my 3rd baby in July 2013 when a friend gave me an iPad. I got a yoga app right away. I fell in L❤️️VE, and I never stop since.
My body changed in so many ways, I have changed in many ways. I have lost a lot of weight, about 60lbs. Maybe 70lbs I have not checked in a while. My body is toned and very flexible now. I don’t focus on my flaws anymore. I accept myself the way I am. I have never L❤️️VED my self more then I do now.
Currently my favorite poses are Pincha, handstands, all arm balances, and deep back bends.
I am a stay home mom and we don’t have any other family in this country so I’m always with my kids and my L❤️️️VER, they are my world. I L❤️️VE hanging out with friends, painting, cooking, watching shows and reading whenever I get a chance.
I have had the chance to help a few people get started with their yoga practice through IG. I’m always telling everyone I know how yoga changed my life. I believe in yoga and sharing my L❤️️VE for it feels amazing.
I feel more and more like I have healing powers and I can generate an abundant amount of L❤️️VE while I meditate.
I would say to anyone who is interested in yoga to start today. Go to Doyogawithme.com or any other free yoga websites and try a few different styles of yoga and practice daily even if it’s only for 10 minutes to reap the benefits of yoga. You don’t have to loose weight to start doing yoga, you don’t have to be flexible and you don’t have to be good at sports.
I think that we should talk about the health benefits of yoga and the benefits of each poses more. Yoga is for everyone, for any age and it doesn’t matter what your physical limitations are you can do some yoga. Yoga is not competitive your practice can be whatever you want it to be I think with all the competition on IG it can be intimidating for a beginner.
